The Millport Country and Western Weekend kicked off in 1995, changed its name to encompass a broader spectrum of country music and has been going from strength to strength. With country bands from the UK featuring the Festival is regarded as one of the biggest Country Music Festivals in Scotland.
There is now a huge 3,000 capacity concert marquee that will host new international stars such as Mark Chesnutt, The Shires, Adley Stump, David Ray, Morgan Frazier, and Ashton Lane.
There is much to do over the weekend with the grand parade, line-dancing, shootout competitions, funfair, hot dog eating competitions and much more.
