The Cowal Highland Gathering is the biggest, most spectacular Highland games in Scotland. It’s renowned for its unique atmosphere, world-class competitors, beautiful Highland location and spine-tingling salute to the Chieftain.
With a mix of Highland dancing, pipe bands, traditional wrestling, heavy athletics, solo piping, drum majors strutting their stuff and finally just enjoying ceilidh music and local food, there is something for all, young and old.
Around 23,000 people visit every year to soak up the unique, friendly atmosphere and stunning Highland location.
As a finale on Saturday when the sun sets down the Firth of Clyde, 3,000 pipers and drummers play "Highland Laddie" in unison. It’s an unforgettable emotional experience. More so if you have Scottish blood in you! And finally when it is really dark there is a specatacular fireworks display.
Opening Hours: The temporary office is open until a few days before the games start at address above.
