Military and Civil Aviation has enthralled generations for just over a century since man took to the skies. The National Museum of Flight renders a first class experience of how small propeller aircraft have evolved into supersonic jets, both military and commercial, and commercial can mean only one plane – Concorde. Step on board the real thing for an in depth view of the famous plane, with commentary from a former Concorde pilot. At the Concorde Experience Exhibition you can discover the story of supersonic flight and see Concorde in action on film and find out about the race to break the sound barrier, the design and build of the world's first supersonic passenger aircraft and what it was like to be a traveller or crew member on board.
In the newly refurbished hangars view the world class collection of aircraft, the memorabilia surrounding their history and the thought provoking interactive displays. When you have had enough visit the Museum shop and Café before doing it all again!
