Nestled in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Forest lies Duchray Castle, a 500 year old tower house linked with Rob Roy. Now newly renovated it offers luxury accommodation and a warm welcome in a stunning, secluded location.
Frances and Oliver Bigwood purchased Duchray Castle in 2010 as an abandoned building site which had been uninhabited for nearly a decade. Over the past two years they have worked to restore the original tower house and one of the Victorian additions. The renovation was led by Oliver who has extensive experience in property development, working with a trusted team of skilled tradesmen. Now this first stage of the renovation is complete Frances is delighted to be able to open the doors to guests. Frances has worked as an Event Manager for the past 10 years in a variety of hospitality settings and is looking forward to welcoming guests to Duchray Castle for weddings, events and luxury breaks.
