Description: The Mull of Galloway Trail is a relatively recent addition to Scotland's myriad of walking trails, running from the very tip of the most southerly part of the country, the Mull of Galloway, to Stranraer and continuing northward as the "Loch Ryan Coastal Path". On reaching Glenapp you will have walked a total distance of 35 miles into South Ayrshire where it links with the Ayrshire Coastal Path.
Much of the trail hugs the coastline with scrambling across beaches adding to the fun. There are ideal opportunities to see the flora and fauna of the Mull. Information boards for walkers have been provided at strategic points along the route giving interesting anecdotes and articles on local history. For shorter walks visit their website for a copy of "Twenty Seven Circular Walks based on The Mull of Galloway Trail" by Robert Clark
